Camilla’s 4 Cornish beach bars coffee and cake tour

If your idea of an adventure is anything like our daughter Camilla’s, you may be tempted to treat yourselves to a day time beach bar coffee and cake tour – perfect for a cloudy day. (Sat Nav recommended). Michele

8:00hrs bright and early make your way to Jamie Oliver’s at Watergate Bay for a delicious breakki, with great coffee and floor to ceiling windows looking out on the surfers catching early morning waves and dogs being walked -hours of amusement. TR8 4AA

Beautiful Bedruthan Steps

One of our best family days out this year, a trip to Bedruthan Steps – a 20 minute drive from Bodrean.  Beautiful Bedruthan has it all, the views, great walks and if you can make it down (and back up) the 142 steep steps onto the beach you can enjoy miles of sand and crystal clear waters – we could have been in the Carribean!  The boys (including Andy) took a look in the rock pools and the girls and I lazed about in the sun before dipping our toes in the sea, which quickly cooled us down. Finally we had lunch at the National Trust cafe, not to be missed the Ploughmans and Huntsmans salads were huge, fresh and delicious topped off with a Callestick IceCream of course. Don’t foget your National Trust card for the car park.
